The theme for Rotary International in 2008-2009 is "Make Dreams Real" for children. Projects include eradicating causes of childhood mortality, literacy and providing clean water for all.
Local projects of the Lake Worth Rotary include the adoption of Barton Elementary School, and support of Boy Scouts, Salvation Army, and Hugs Not Drugs, in addition to other organizations. We also grant scholarships to deserving students in the area.

On January 30th, ground was broken for a new passive park in Lake Worth near 5th Avenue and F Street.
